Novastart Opens Its Infinite Canvas OS to Everyone With a Free Plan, Pro at $10 a Month and Team at $20 per User

LOS ANGELES, CA, October 19, 2026 - Novastart said today that its infinite canvas operating system can be used for free. Alongside the Free plan, Novastart offers a Pro plan at $10 per month and a Team plan at $20 per month per user.

Instead of a traditional desktop with overlapping windows, Novastart puts every app on one infinite canvas. Users scroll and pan between apps, zoom out to see everything at once, and each canvas reopens exactly as it was left.

The company's central idea is AI agents that work in plain sight. Agents that operate computers usually run out of view or take over the user's only mouse and keyboard. In Novastart, every agent gets its own mouse and keyboard inside the operating system, its own window and a labeled cursor. Several agents can run at once while the user keeps working, watches every click, pauses or corrects a run midway, and takes a window back with one click.

"The more work AI agents take on, the more important it is to see what they are doing," said Thomas Fraher, co-founder and CTO of Novastart. "We built that visibility into the operating system, and you can try it without paying anything."

What's in Novastart

- One shared canvas. Apps, teammates and AI agents live side by side on the same canvas.

- AI agents in plain sight. A lead agent splits a job among up to 10 helpers, each with a labeled cursor in its own window.

- Team collaboration. Teammates join a shared canvas by email invitation and click and type in one another's windows at the same time. Windows stream directly from machine to machine.

Novastart opens more than 30 web apps, including Chrome, Claude, ChatGPT, Gmail, Excel, WhatsApp and Notion, as standalone windows.

Getting started

The Novastart app runs the full operating system in a window on Windows 10 or 11 and on Intel-based Macs. Novastart OS installs as the operating system on Intel and other x86 PCs from a USB drive in about 8 to 15 minutes. Downloads and plan details are at novastart.com
